AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 2, CHAPTER 86, LAWS OF 1999, TO EXPAND THE PROJECTS AUTHORIZED IN THE FY2000 APPROPRIATION TO THE DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION IN SENATE BILL NO. 3111, 1999 REGULAR SESSION.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. Section 2, Chapter 86, Laws of 1999, is amended as follows:

Section 2. In addition to all other sums heretofore appropriated, the following sum, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is hereby appropriated out of any money in the State General Fund not otherwise appropriated, to the Department of Finance and Administration for the purpose of replacing the roof at the New Capitol and repairing damage to walls and windows, from and after passage and through June 30, 2000 $525,000.00.

In addition, the funds appropriated in this section may be used for the purpose of retiring lease purchase obligations, making repairs and renovations, and furnishing and equipping the Governor's offices.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
