AN ACT TO DESIGNATE A CERTAIN PORTION OF THE TANGIPAHOA RIVER IN PIKE COUNTY AS ELIGIBLE FOR NOMINATION TO THE STATE SCENIC STREAMS STEWARDSHIP PROGRAM; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. The following shall be codified as Section 51-4-21.1, Mississippi Code of 1972:
51-4-21.1. In accordance with Section 51-4-7, Tangipahoa River in Pike County from U.S. Highway 51 to the Mississippi-Louisiana state line is designated as eligible for nomination to the State Scenic Streams Stewardship Program.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
