AN ACT TO DESIGNATE A PORTION OF MISSISSIPPI HIGHWAY 35 IN MARION COUNTY AS THE "MAJOR GENERAL JAMES W. BALL MEMORIAL HIGHWAY"; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. (1) That portion of Mississippi Highway 35 in Marion County, Mississippi, beginning at the Mississippi/Louisiana state line and extending to Foxworth shall be known and designated as the "Major General James W. Ball Memorial Highway."
(2) The Mississippi Department of Transportation shall erect and maintain appropriate signs along and approaching such highway.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2000.
