AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION OF STATE GENERAL FUNDS TO THE DEPARTMENT OF WILDLIFE, FISHERIES AND PARKS FOR THE PURPOSE OF PURCHASING FURNISHINGS AND EQUIPMENT FOR CERTAIN FACILITIES AT VARIOUS STATE PARKS, FOR FISCAL YEAR 2001.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. The following sum, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is hereby appropriated out of any money in the State General Fund not otherwise appropriated, to the Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks for the purpose of purchasing furnishings and equipment at certain facilities at various state parks for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2000, and ending
June 30, 2001 $ 1,135,000.00.
SECTION 2. Of the funds appropriated under the provisions of Section 1, it is the intention of the Legislature that funds shall be allocated for furnishings and equipment for existing and new cabins and facilities as follows:
PHASE I
PARK PROJECT ALLOCATION

Furnishings and equipment for

PARK PROJECT ALLOCATION
Percy Quin $ 400,000.00
Furnishings and equipment for new
50-unit lodge and dining facilities

Furnishings and equipment for

PHASE III
PARK PROJECT ALLOCATION
Lake Lowndes $ 15,000.00
Furnishings and equipment for
new cabins and facilities
Trace $ 15,000.00
Furnishings and equipment for
new cabins and facilities
Statewide $ 200,000.00
Furnishings and equipment for
existing cabins and facilities
Natchez $ 75,000.00
Furnishings and equipment for
new group camp facility
Lake Lincoln $ 30,000.00
Furnishings and equipment for
new cabins
SUBTOTAL PHASE III $ 335,000.00
TOTAL $1,135,000.00
SECTION 3. The money herein appropriated shall be paid by the State Treasurer out of any money in the proper fund or funds as set forth in this act, upon warrants issued by the State Fiscal Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his warrants upon requisitions signed by the proper person, officer or officers in the manner provided by law.
SECTION 4. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2000.
