A RESOLUTION COMMENDING AND CONGRATULATING THE CORINTH HIGH SCHOOL WARRIORS BOYS BASKETBALL TEAM FOR THEIR OUTSTANDING 1999-2000 SEASON.

WHEREAS, the Corinth High School Warriors Boys Basketball Team completed the 1999-2000 season with an outstanding record of 30 wins and 8 losses; and

WHEREAS, the Warriors had an excellent tournament season this year, winning the Class 3A State Tournament, the Alcorn County Tournament and the Walnut Tournament; and

WHEREAS, the 1999-2000 Warrior team includes outstanding young men, including Ryan Bell, Bryan Brown, Brandon Campbell, Michael Crayton, Nick Dodd, Galvin Green, Marcus Howard, Jeremy Loving, Taurean Morton, Grant Roberts, Emmanuel Stafford, Jimmy Taylor, Taurean Triplett, Perry Williams and Rico Wood; and

WHEREAS, the Warriors have been superbly coached and inspired by Head Coach David Robbins and Assistant Coach Keith Greene, who have broadened the players' knowledge of the game and refined their skills in execution; and

WHEREAS, it is the policy of the House of Representatives to recognize and commend excellence, especially when evidenced by the youth of our state, who are its future:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, That we do hereby commend and congratulate the Corinth High School Warriors Boys Basketball Team, Head Coach David Robbins and Assistant Coach Keith Greene for their outstanding 1999-2000 season and extend heartiest wishes for continued success in their future athletic and academic endeavors.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be furnished to Corinth High School, Head Coach David Robbins, Assistant Coach Keith Greene and to members of the Capitol Press Corps.
