AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF PERRY COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO CONTRIBUTE TO WE CARE DAY CARE, INC.; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. The Board of Supervisors of Perry County, Mississippi, is authorized and empowered, in its discretion, to contribute a sum in an amount not to exceed Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000.00), during the 2000 calendar year, to We Care Day Care, Inc., a nongovernmental community action agency, a sum in an amount determined by the Board of Supervisors to be used as matching funds in order that We Care Day Care, Inc., may receive funds from the state or federal governments to contract for and fund the operation of any human services program in Perry County, including a rural transportation program.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
