AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF PERRY COUNTY TO CONTRIBUTE FUNDS TO PEARL RIVER VALLEY OPPORTUNITY, INC.; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. The Board of Supervisors of Perry County, Mississippi, is authorized and empowered, in its discretion, to contribute during calendar year 2000 to Pearl River Valley Opportunity, Inc., a community action agency, a sum in an amount determined by the board of supervisors to be used as matching funds in order that Pearl River Valley Opportunity, Inc., may receive funds from the state or federal government to contract for and fund the operation of any human services program in Perry County, including a rural transportation program.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
