AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE GOVERNING AUTHORITIES OF INDIANOLA, MISSISSIPPI, TO PERMIT THE MUNICIPAL LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS OF THE MUNICIPALITY TO USE RADAR SPEED DETECTION EQUIPMENT IN THE ENFORCEMENT OF SPEED LIMITS ON U.S. HIGHWAY 49-W AND U.S. HIGHWAY 82 LOCATED WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF INDIANOLA, MISSISSIPPI; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. The governing authorities of the City of Indianola, Mississippi, may authorize the Chief of Police of Indianola and any duly sworn law enforcement officer of the municipality to operate and use radar speed detection equipment to enforce the motor vehicle speed limits on U.S. Highway 49-W and U.S. Highway 82 within the corporate limits of the municipality.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
