House Bill 1591
AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE GOVERNING AUTHORITIES OF THE CITY OF OXFORD, MISSISSIPPI, TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE OXFORD-LAFAYETTE COUNTY ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT FOUNDATION, FOR THE PURPOSE OF INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. The governing authorities of the City of Oxford, Mississippi, in their discretion, may contribute to the Oxford-Lafayette County Economic Development Foundation or any other corporation, foundation, organization, association or group with an industrial purpose, out of any available municipal funds, an amount not to exceed Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000.00) per fiscal year for four (4) fiscal years beginning October 1, 2000.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
