AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF FORREST COUNTY TO CONTRIBUTE AN AMOUNT OF MONEY NOT TO EXCEED $24,000.00 TO THE HATTIESBURG DOWNTOWN ASSOCIATION, INC.; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. The Board of Supervisors of Forrest County, Mississippi, in its discretion, may contribute during calendar year 2000, out of any available funds, an amount not to exceed Twenty-four Thousand Dollars ($24,000.00), to the Hattiesburg Downtown Association, Inc., in support of the association's efforts to promote the growth, prosperity, development and revitalization of downtown Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
