AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 67-3-75, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO EXTEND THE REPEALER DATE ON THE AUTHORITY OF THE ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE CONTROL DIVISION OF THE STATE TAX COMMISSION TO ENFORCE CERTAIN PROVISIONS OF LAW RELATING TO ACTS THAT ARE UNLAWFUL FOR THE HOLDER OF A PERMIT AUTHORIZING THE RETAIL SALE OF BEER AND LIGHT WINE; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. Section 67-3-75, Mississippi Code of 1972, is amended as follows:

67-3-75. In addition to peace officers within their jurisdiction, all enforcement officers of the Alcoholic Beverage Control Division of the State Tax Commission are authorized to enforce the provisions made unlawful by Section 67-3-53. This section shall stand repealed from and after July 1, 2001.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2000.
