A RESOLUTION COMMENDING AND CONGRATULATING OUTSTANDING STUDENT ATHLETES BEING HONORED ON THE SPIRIT OF AMERICA DAY XXVIII. 

WHEREAS, Cory Boyd of Loyd Star High School from Brookhaven, Mississippi, Allen Eubanks of Mount Olive High School from Mount Olive, Mississippi, Daniel Faust of Adams County Christian School from Natchez, Mississippi, and Trey Meacham of Tri-County Academy from Flora, Mississippi, have distinguished themselves as outstanding Mississippi Student Athletes, Citizens and Leaders of 1998; and

WHEREAS, Governor Kirk Fordice has proclaimed March 2, 1998, as the Spirit of America Day XXVIII in Mississippi in honor of those fine young men; and

WHEREAS, these outstanding young men are being honored by America's Foundation on the Spirit of America Day XXVIII in ceremonies and recognitions on March 2 in our capital city; and

WHEREAS, these exemplary young men, as recipients of the Spirit of America Awards, symbolize the very finest examples to their schools, their families and their communities; and

WHEREAS, it is the policy of the House of Representatives of the State of Mississippi to recognize and commend excellence, especially when evidenced by the youth of our state, who are its future:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, That we commend and congratulate Cory Boyd, Allen Eubanks, Daniel Faust and Trey Meacham for their recognition as outstanding athletes on the Spirit of America Day XXVIII.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be furnished to Cory Boyd, Allen Eubanks, Daniel Faust and Trey Meacham and the Capitol Press Corps.
