A RESOLUTION WELCOMING THE 1997 ROSS FAMILY REUNION. 

WHEREAS, the 1997 Ross Family Reunion is being held in Jackson, Mississippi, on August 8-10; and

WHEREAS, this marks a homecoming for the major biennial reunion which was last held in 1995 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin; and

WHEREAS, the Ross Family consists of many relations living throughout the State of Mississippi and the rest of the Nation; and

WHEREAS, the 1997 Reunion is expected to attract the attendance of at least two hundred families; and

WHEREAS, the proud heritage of the Ross Family is one of vigilance, strength, history, love, family and faith; and

WHEREAS, it is our pleasure to welcome the major biennial reunion back to Mississippi and back to the family's roots, which are traced to Lena, Mississippi:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, That we extend our greetings to the Ross Family as the members gather for their 1997 Reunion, and we express our hope that they enjoy as family a time of togetherness filled with joy and fellowship.
