A RESOLUTION TO COMMEND THE ECLIPSE/ELITE CONCERT CHOIR OF BROOKHAVEN HIGH SCHOOL. 

WHEREAS, "Eclipse/Elite" is the high school concert choir of Brookhaven High School which consists of 67 members from the freshman through the senior class; and

WHEREAS, over the past four years the choir has received much recognition and has won many honors, including receiving 39 superior ratings from district and state competitions and singing in New York City and at the White House; and

WHEREAS, the choir during this season has been asked to tour and perform in Ghana, Africa, and Paris, France; and

WHEREAS, locally the choir performs in many churches, community functions and schools; and

WHEREAS, the community, in its turn, has been tremendously appreciative and supportive of the choir; and

WHEREAS, it is the policy of the Senate of the State of Mississippi to recognize excellence, especially when demonstrated by the youth of this state:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, That we hereby commend and congratulate "Eclipse/Elite" for their wonderful achievements as a very talented and dedicated choir, and we wish them continued success in the future.
