A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION TO COMMEMORATE THE LIFE OF MRS. ROSIA BELL JACKSON SPRUELL. 

WHEREAS, Mrs. Rosia Bell Jackson Spruell passed away on December 20, 1996, in Greenwood, Mississippi; and

WHEREAS, Mrs. Spruell was born on April 6, 1905, in Money, Mississippi; and

WHEREAS, she was the widow of Mr. Isadore Spruell whom she married in 1927 and with whom she bore six children; and

WHEREAS, she was a former schoolteacher in Sidon, Mississippi, where she was also a faithful member of Holly Grove Missionary Baptist Church where she served in many capacities, including church secretary, president and treasurer of the mother board, pastor's aide committee and club leader; and

WHEREAS, she leaves behind a host of family and friends who will dearly miss her warm presence but who will always cherish many fond memories:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES CONCURRING THEREIN, That we hereby commemorate the life of Mrs. Rosia Bell Jackson Spruell and we extend our heartfelt sympathy to her children, Sadie Mae Cross, Cora Payton, Sidney Spruell, Mizella McEachern and Isadore Spruell, Jr., and to her many loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
