AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF HANCOCK COUNTY TO TRANSFER TO FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICTS LOCATED WITHIN THE COUNTY TITLE TO FIRE TRUCKS ACQUIRED BY THE COUNTY PURSUANT TO THE RURAL FIRE TRUCK ACQUISITION PROGRAM; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. The Board of Supervisors of Hancock County, Mississippi, is hereby authorized and empowered, in its discretion, to transfer to fire protection districts located within the county, upon such terms and conditions as the board determines to be in the best interest of the county, title to fire trucks acquired by the county pursuant to the rural fire truck acquisition program established by Section 17-23-1, Mississippi Code of 1972.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
