AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF HARRISON COUNTY TO MAKE A DONATION TO AID THE UNITED WAY OF SOUTH MISSISSIPPI TO DEVELOP A BUILDING AND FACILITY ON PROPERTY LOCATED IN THE CITY OF GULFPORT, MISSISSIPPI; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. The Board of Supervisors of Harrison County, Mississippi, in its discretion, may donate sums of money not to exceed in the aggregate more than Forty Thousand Dollars ($40,000.00) during Fiscal Year 1996-1997, from any available county funds, to the United Way of South Mississippi to develop a building and facility on property located in the City of Gulfport, Mississippi.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
