AN ACT TO REQUIRE THE MISSISSIPPI DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION TO CONSTRUCT AS A FOUR-LANE HIGHWAY A CERTAIN PORTION OF MISSISSIPPI HIGHWAY 27; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES. 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. The Mississippi Department of Transportation shall perform preliminary engineering, acquire necessary right-of-way and construct or reconstruct and maintain as a four-lane highway the following segment of highway:

Central District:

Mississippi 27 beginning at its intersection

with I-20 and extending southeasterly to its

intersection with I-55.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 1997
