AN ACT TO REPEAL SECTIONS 75-33-101, 75-33-103, 75-33-105, 75-33-107, 75-33-109 AND 75-33-111, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, WHICH PROVIDE FOR THE REGULATION OF IMPORTED MEATS; TO REPEAL SECTIONS 31-7-75, 31-7-77, 31-7-79, 31-7-81 AND 31-7-83, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, WHICH PROVIDE FOR THE REGULATION OF PUBLIC CONTRACTS FOR THE PURCHASE OF MEAT; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. Sections 75-33-101, 75-33-103, 75-33-105, 75-33-107, 75-33-109 and 75-33-111, Mississippi Code of 1972, which provide for the regulation of meats imported from a foreign country, is hereby repealed.
SECTION 2. Sections 31-7-75, 31-7-77, 31-7-79, 31-7-81 and 31-7-83, Mississippi Code of 1972, which provide for the regulation of public contracts for the purchase of meat, is hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 1997.
