A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION SUSPENDING THE DEADLINES FOR THE PURPOSE OF THE FURTHER CONSIDERATION AND PASSAGE OF HOUSE BILL NO. 1739, REGULAR SESSION OF 1997, ENTITLED "AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 57-75-5, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO REVISE THE DEFINITION OF THE TERM "FACILITY RELATED TO THE PROJECT" IN THE MISSISSIPPI MAJOR ECONOMIC IMPACT ACT TO INCLUDE WATER, NATURAL GAS AND ELECTRIC TRANSMISSION SYSTEMS AND TO REVISE THE DEFINITION OF THE TERM "PROJECT" IN THE MISSISSIPPI MAJOR ECONOMIC IMPACT ACT TO INCLUDE CERTAIN MAJOR CAPITAL PROJECTS DESIGNED TO MANUFACTURE, PRODUCE AND TRANSMIT ELECTRICAL POWER USING NATURAL GAS AS ITS PRIMARY RAW MATERIAL; TO AMEND SECTION 57-75-15, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO AUTHORIZE THE ISSUANCE OF $25,000,000.00 IN STATE GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS TO FUND CERTAIN COSTS RELATED TO SUCH FACILITY AND TO PROVIDE THAT CERTAIN CONDITIONS MUST BE SATISFIED BEFORE WATER MAY BE WITHDRAWN FROM ENID LAKE RESERVOIR FOR THE PURPOSE OF SUCH FACILITY; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES."
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, THE SENATE CONCURRING THEREIN, That the Joint Rules of the House and the Senate, including all the deadlines and other provisions imposed by Joint Rule No. 40, are suspended for the purpose of permitting the further consideration and passage of House Bill No. 1739, Regular Session of 1997, entitled "AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 57-75-5, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO REVISE THE DEFINITION OF THE TERM "FACILITY RELATED TO THE PROJECT" IN THE MISSISSIPPI MAJOR ECONOMIC IMPACT ACT TO INCLUDE WATER, NATURAL GAS AND ELECTRIC TRANSMISSION SYSTEMS AND TO REVISE THE DEFINITION OF THE TERM "PROJECT" IN THE MISSISSIPPI MAJOR ECONOMIC IMPACT ACT TO INCLUDE CERTAIN MAJOR CAPITAL PROJECTS DESIGNED TO MANUFACTURE, PRODUCE AND TRANSMIT ELECTRICAL POWER USING NATURAL GAS AS ITS PRIMARY RAW MATERIAL; TO AMEND SECTION 57-75-15, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO AUTHORIZE THE ISSUANCE OF $25,000,000.00 IN STATE GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS TO FUND CERTAIN COSTS RELATED TO SUCH FACILITY AND TO PROVIDE THAT CERTAIN CONDITIONS MUST BE SATISFIED BEFORE WATER MAY BE WITHDRAWN FROM ENID LAKE RESERVOIR FOR THE PURPOSE OF SUCH FACILITY; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES."
