A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION COMMENDING AND CONGRATULATING THE CLARKDALE ATTENDANCE CENTER GIRLS SOFTBALL TEAM FOR THEIR OUTSTANDING 1995 AND 1996 SEASONS AND FOR WINNING THE 1995 AND 1996 STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS. 

WHEREAS, the Clarkdale Attendance Center Lady Bulldogs Softball Team finished the 1995 and 1996 seasons with an outstanding record of 79 wins and 7 losses; and

WHEREAS, the Lady Bulldogs Softball Team did very well in the tournament play, winning the 1995 and 1996 division championships, the 1995 and 1996 South State Championships and the 1995 and 1996 state championships, and was the only 2A school to be ranked No. 1 in any sport; and

WHEREAS, the Lady Bulldogs maintained a team grade point average of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale; and

WHEREAS, the Lady Bulldogs have been superbly coached and inspired by Head Coach Rick Roberson, who has broadened the players' knowledge of the game and refined their skills in execution; and

WHEREAS, the Lady Bulldogs have developed a winning and cooperative spirit and a high degree of sportsmanship, and their activities and attitude reflect great credit upon the individual players and their coach and bring honor to their school; and

WHEREAS, it is the policy of the Legislature to recognize and commend excellence, especially when evidenced by the youth of our state, who are its future:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, THE SENATE CONCURRING THEREIN, That we do hereby commend and congratulate the Clarkdale Attendance Center Lady Bulldogs Softball Team and their Head Coach, Rick Roberson, for their outstanding 1995 and 1996 seasons, for winning the 1995 and 1996 state championships and for displaying tireless devotion to their athletic endeavors.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be furnished to Clarkdale Attendance Center, Coach Rick Roberson and members of the Capitol Press Corps.
