AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF HUMPHREYS COUNTY, FOR THE PURPOSES OF PROMOTING INDUSTRIAL AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT IN THE COUNTY, TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE BELZONI-HUMPHREYS DEVELOPMENT FOUNDATION, INC., TO CONVEY BUILDINGS AND LANDS OWNED BY THE COUNTY IN THE HUMPHREYS COUNTY INDUSTRIAL PARK TO BELZONI-HUMPHREYS DEVELOPMENT FOUNDATION, INC., TO USE COUNTY EQUIPMENT AND PERSONNEL IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE HUMPHREYS COUNTY INDUSTRIAL PARK, AND TO ADOPT ALL ORDERS, RESOLUTIONS AND ORDINANCES, AND DO AND PERFORM ALL OTHER ACTS AS MAY BE NECESSARY, REQUISITE OR DESIRABLE FOR CARRYING OUT THE PURPOSES OF THIS ACT; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES. 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. The Board of Supervisors of Humphreys County, in its discretion, by resolution duly adopted and entered on its minutes, may:

(a) Contribute to the Belzoni-Humphreys Development Foundation, Inc., out of any available county funds, an amount not to exceed Fifty-five Thousand Dollars ($55,000.00) to be used solely for the purposes of recruiting and encouraging the location of industries in the Humphreys County Industrial Park and for promoting industrial and economic development in Humphreys County;

(b) Lease, sell, convey, contribute, donate or otherwise transfer to Belzoni-Humphreys Development Foundation, Inc., by warranty deed, lease, bill of sale, contract or any other method of conveyance, any buildings, lands or other rights and interests in and to buildings and lands owned by the county in the Humphreys County Industrial Park for the purpose of locating industries and otherwise promoting industrial and economic development in Humphreys County;

(c) Use county equipment and personnel in the development of the Humphreys County Industrial Park, including the construction and maintenance of roads and the installation of water and sewer lines, facilities and other equipment as may be necessary or desirable for the delivery of public utilities to buildings in the industrial park; and

(d) Adopt all orders, resolutions and ordinances, and do and perform all other acts as may be necessary, requisite or desirable for carrying out the purposes of this act.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
