AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 17-15-11, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO AUTHORIZE THE PAYMENT OF A PER DIEM AND REIMBURSEMENT FOR MILEAGE AND EXPENSES FOR THE GOVERNING BOARDS OF HUMAN RESOURCE AGENCIES; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSE. 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. Section 17-15-11, Mississippi Code of 1972, is amended as follows:

17-15-11. The board of supervisors of each county and the municipal governing authority of each municipality comprising a human resource agency * * *, in their discretion, may set aside, appropriate and expend funds from the general fund or federal revenue sharing funds to defray the administrative expenses incurred in the operation of the human resource agency and to pay the members of the governing board of the human resource agency a per diem as authorized by Section 25-3-69 for each day or fraction of a day spent in actual discharge of official duties and reimbursement for mileage and actual expenses incurred in the performance of their official duties at the rate authorized for county employees under Section 25-3-41.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
