AN ACT TO REQUIRE THE LEGISLATIVE BUDGET OFFICE TO PROVIDE THE MEMBERS OF THE LEGISLATURE WITH COPIES OF THE MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972 ON COMPACT DISC-READ ONLY MEMORY (CD-ROM) AT THE REQUEST OF THE MEMBERS; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES. 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. Upon the request of any member of the Mississippi Legislature, the Legislative Budget Office shall provide the member with a copy of the Mississippi Code of 1972 on Compact Disc-Read Only Memory (CD-ROM) at no charge to the member. The Legislative Budget Office shall use funds specifically appropriated by the Legislature for the purpose of providing members of the Legislature with copies of the Mississippi Code of 1972 on CD-ROM to carry out the provisions of this act.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 1997.
