Title: AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE GOVERNING AUTHORITIES OF THE CITY OF BAY SPRINGS, MISSISSIPPI, TO LEVY A TAX UPON THE GROSS SALES OF RESTAURANTS IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED 2% OF GROSS SALES OF BEVERAGES SOLD FOR ON-PREMISES CONSUMPTION AND PREPARED FOOD FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING FUNDS TO REDUCE THE INDEBTEDNESS INCURRED AND TO BE INCURRED BY THE CITY IN FUNDING THE PURCHASE OF LAND AND THE CONSTRUCTION OF A SPORTS COMPLEX CONSISTING OF BASEBALL FIELDS, SOCCER FIELDS, WALKING TRAILS AND OTHER ATHLETIC FACILITIES; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
