Title: AN ACT TO ENACT THE REGISTRATION OF INTERIOR DESIGNERS ACT; TO SET FORTH DEFINITIONS; TO PROVIDE THAT THE REGISTRATION OF INTERIOR DESIGNERS SHALL BE UNDER MISSISSIPPI STATE BOARD OF ARCHITECTURE, ACTING THROUGH AN ADVISORY COMMITTEE APPOINTED BY THE GOVERNOR; TO REQUIRE THAT ANY PERSON SEEKING TO PRACTICE THE PROFESSION OF INTERIOR DESIGN SHALL BE REGISTERED UNDER THIS ACT; TO SET FORTH THE MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR APPLICANTS FOR REGISTRATION; TO GRANDFATHER IN THOSE INTERIOR DESIGNERS WHO APPLY FOR REGISTRATION WITHIN THREE YEARS OF THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF THE ACT; TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD TO SET FEES FOR REGISTRATION AND RENEWAL THEREOF; TO PROVIDE EXEMPTIONS FROM THE PROVISIONS OF THE ACT; TO SET FORTH PROCEDURES FOR DISCIPLINARY PROCEEDINGS; TO SET FORTH PROHIBITIONS UNDER THE ACT AND PRESCRIBE PENALTIES FOR SAME; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
