Title: AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 37-7-301, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO AUTHORIZE SCHOOL BOARDS TO EMPLOY AND FIX THE COMPENSATION OF LICENSED SOCIAL WORKERS AND LICENSED PSYCHOLOGISTS TO PROVIDE SERVICES TO THE STUDENTS IN THE SCHOOLS OF THE SCHOOL DISTRICT; TO PROVIDE THAT ANY SCHOOL DISTRICT THAT HAS EMPLOYED AT LEAST ONE SOCIAL WORKER OR PSYCHOLOGIST FOR EVERY ONE THOUSAND STUDENTS ENROLLED IN THE SCHOOLS OF THE DISTRICT SHALL BE ELIGIBLE FOR REIMBURSEMENT FOR FIFTY PERCENT OF THE COST OF THE SALARY OF EACH SUCH SOCIAL WORKER OR PSYCHOLOGIST FROM THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
