Title: AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 63-11-30, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO ALLOW THE ARRESTING LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER TO DETAIN A PERSON ARRESTED FOR A VIOLATION OF THE IMPLIED CONSENT LAW FOR A PERIOD OF UP TO SIX HOURS, IN ORDER TO PROTECT THE PERSON AND THE PUBLIC FROM THE DANGER INHERENT IN HAVING AN IMPAIRED PERSON OPERATE A MOTOR VEHICLE; TO PROVIDE AN EXCEPTION FOR A CHILD UNDER THE AGE OF 21 YEARS, WHO SHALL BE RELEASED TO HIS OR HER PARENT OR ADULT LEGAL GUARDIAN; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
