Title: AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 27-7-17, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO PROVIDE THAT THE ITEMIZED DEDUCTION ON THE FEDERAL INCOME TAX RETURN FOR OTHER TAXES ALLOWED FOR FEDERAL PURPOSES IN LIEU OF INCOME TAXES PAID MAY NOT BE UTILIZED AS AN INDIVIDUAL NONBUSINESS DEDUCTION FOR STATE INCOME TAX PURPOSES; TO AMEND SECTIONS 27-7-71 AND 27-13-43, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO REMOVE THE REQUIREMENT THAT THE CHAIRMAN OF THE STATE TAX COMMISSION MUST APPROVE DETERMINATIONS OF THE BOARD OF REVIEW OF THE STATE TAX COMMISSION IN APPEALS FROM DECISIONS OF THE CHAIRMAN REGARDING INCOME AND FRANCHISE TAXES; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
