Title: AN ACT TO REENACT SECTION 19-5-353, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, WHICH PROHIBITS PRIVATE "FOR PROFIT" AMBULANCE, SECURITY OR FIRE SERVICE COMPANIES FROM PAYING A SALARY TO PUBLIC SAFETY AND 911 TELECOMMUNICATORS WHO HAVE NOT MET MINIMUM TRAINING STANDARDS; TO REENACT SECTION 19-5-357, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, WHICH AUTHORIZES SUCH COMPANIES THAT ARE UNDER CONTRACT WITH A LOCAL GOVERNMENT TO BE REIMBURSED MINIMUM STANDARDS TRAINING FUNDS; TO AMEND SECTION 3, CHAPTER 490, LAWS OF 2001, TO EXTEND THE REPEALERS ON SECTIONS 19-5-353 AND 19-5-357; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
