Title: AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 97-3-7, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO PROVIDE THAT EVERY CONVICTION OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE MAY REQUIRE AS A CONDITION OF A SUSPENDED SENTENCE THAT THE DEFENDANT PARTICIPATE IN A PROGRAM DESIGNED TO BRING ABOUT THE CESSATION OF DOMESTIC ABUSE WHICH IS OPERATED BY OR WITH THE ENDORSEMENT OF THE LOCAL DOMESTIC VIOLENCE PROGRAM OR SHELTER; TO PROVIDE THAT ALL CONVICTIONS OF SIMPLE OR AGGRAVATED DOMESTIC VIOLENCE SHALL BE REPORTED BY THE COURT TO THE OFFICE OF THE MISSISSIPPI ATTORNEY GENERAL ON A MONTHLY BASIS; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
