Title: AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 25-3-41, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO DELETE THE REQUIREMENT FOR PRIOR APPROVAL OF THE GOVERNOR AND THE DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION BEFORE ANY STATE OFFICER OR EMPLOYEE MAY TRAVEL OUTSIDE OF THE UNITED STATES; TO PROVIDE THAT USE OF THE STATE CONTRACT TRAVEL AGENCY BY STATE OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES IS DISCRETIONARY, NOT MANDATORY; TO PROVIDE THAT THE AMOUNT PAID FOR AIRLINE TRANSPORTATION FOR ANY STATE OFFICER OR EMPLOYEE, WHETHER THE TRAVEL WAS ARRANGED BY THE STATE CONTRACT TRAVEL AGENCY OR WAS ARRANGED OTHERWISE, CANNOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT SPECIFIED IN THE STATE CONTRACT ESTABLISHED BY THE OFFICE OF PURCHASING AND TRAVEL, UNLESS PRIOR APPROVAL IS OBTAINED FROM THE OFFICE; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
