Title: AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 37-3-4, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO PROVIDE THAT THE MISSISSIPPI SCHOOL BOARDS ASSOCIATION SHALL CONDUCT THE BASIC AND CONTINUING EDUCATION PROGRAMS FOR SCHOOL BOARD MEMBERS, TO PROVIDE THAT THE LEGISLATURE SHALL APPROPRIATE FUNDS FOR SUCH TRAINING PROGRAMS DIRECTLY TO THE ASSOCIATION, TO CREATE A SEVEN-MEMBER ADVISORY BOARD TO RECOMMEND CONTENT FOR THE COURSES OF INSTRUCTION TO THE SCHOOL BOARDS ASSOCIATION, AND TO REQUIRE AN ANNUAL REPORT TO BE PREPARED FOR THE LEGISLATURE DESCRIBING THE TRAINING ACTIVITIES AND INCLUDING AN EVALUATION OF THE TRAINING PROGRAM; TO AMEND SECTION 37-7-306, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO PROVIDE THAT THE MISSISSIPPI SCHOOL BOARDS ASSOCIATION SHALL PROVIDE THE BASIC AND CONTINUING TRAINING PROGRAMS FOR SCHOOL BOARD MEMBERS; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
