Title: AN ACT TO CREATE A SEPARATE RETIREMENT SYSTEM FOR MUNICIPAL POLICE OFFICERS; TO PROVIDE THAT THE SYSTEM SHALL BE ADMINISTERED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE PUBLIC EMPLOYEES' RETIREMENT SYSTEM; TO DEFINE ELIGIBILITY FOR MEMBERSHIP IN THE SYSTEM; TO PROVIDE FOR EMPLOYEE AND EMPLOYER CONTRIBUTIONS TO FUND THE SYSTEM; TO ESTABLISH BENEFITS FOR DISABILITY AND SUPERANNUATION RETIREMENT AND ESTABLISH DEATH BENEFITS; TO AMEND SECTION 63-1-46, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO PROVIDE THAT DRIVER'S LICENSE REINSTATEMENT FEES SHALL BE PAID TO THE SYSTEM TO PROVIDE ADDITIONAL FUNDING FOR THE SYSTEM; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
