Title: AN ACT TO REPEAL SECTION 31-31-11, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, WHICH AUTHORIZES THE LEVY OF AN OCCUPANCY TAX ON HOTELS AND MOTELS IN THE CITY OF JACKSON, MISSISSIPPI, FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING FUNDS FOR THE PAYMENT OF A CERTAIN PORTION OF THE DEBT SERVICE ON BONDS ISSUED UNDER THE MISSISSIPPI TELECOMMUNICATION CONFERENCE AND TRAINING CENTER ACT AND FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING FUNDS FOR THE MAINTENANCE OF THE MISSISSIPPI TELECOMMUNICATION CONFERENCE AND TRAINING CENTER AND RENOVATIONS, IMPROVEMENTS AND ADDITIONS TO SUCH FACILITY; TO AMEND SECTIONS 31-31-7, 31-31-9 AND 31-31-15, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO CONFORM TO THE PROVISIONS OF THIS ACT; TO REQUIRE THE STATE FISCAL OFFICER TO TRANSFER TO THE STATE GENERAL FUND THE BALANCE OF MONEY IN THE MISSISSIPPI TELECOMMUNICATION CONFERENCE AND TRAINING FACILITY RESERVE FUND AND INTEREST EARNED ON ANY MONEY DEPOSITED INTO THE FUND; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
