Title: AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 31-3-1, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO PROVIDE THAT IF CERTAIN PROJECTS ARE UNDERTAKEN BY A NONRESIDENT CONTRACTOR, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE REQUIRED TO OBTAIN A CERTIFICATE OF RESPONSIBILITY FROM THE STATE BOARD OF CONTRACTORS; TO AMEND SECTION 31-3-13, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO PROVIDE THAT THE STATE BOARD OF PUBLIC CONTRACTORS SHALL ESTABLISH AND ENFORCE MONETARY PENALTIES FOR ANY VIOLATION OF THE RULES AND REGULATIONS ESTABLISHED BY THE BOARD; TO PROVIDE FOR THE SUSPENSION OF ANY UNDERTAKING BY A CONTRACTOR, IF THERE ARE CONTINUOUS VIOLATIONS OF THE RULES AND REGULATIONS ESTABLISHED BY THE BOARD; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
