Title: AN ACT TO AMEND SECTIONS 31-31-11 AND 31-31-29, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO PROVIDE THAT A PORTION OF THE AVAILS OF THE ROOM OCCUPANCY TAX AND THE INTEREST DERIVED FROM THE PROCEEDS OF BONDS ISSUED UNDER THE MISSISSIPPI TELECOMMUNICATION CONFERENCE AND TRAINING CENTER ACT MAY BE EXPENDED TO DEFRAY START-UP COSTS AND EXPENSES INCIDENT TO THE OPERATION OF THE CONFERENCE AND TRAINING FACILITY; TO PROVIDE THAT CERTAIN PERSONS SHALL BE EXEMPT FROM SUCH ROOM OCCUPANCY TAX; TO REQUIRE THAT THE MISSISSIPPI TELECOMMUNICATION CONFERENCE AND TRAINING CENTER COMMISSION HAVE ITS BOOKS AND RECORDS AUDITED ANNUALLY REGARDING THE RECEIPT AND EXPENDITURE OF CERTAIN FUNDS; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
