AMENDMENT NO 1 PROPOSED TO

House Bill No.   42

AMEND by inserting the following after line 49 and renumbering subsequent sections accordingly:

SECTION *.  The following sum is appropriated out of any money in the State General Fund not otherwise appropriated, to the State Board of Education for the purpose of defraying the expenses of the State Department of Education, and excluding the expenses of the Vocational and Technical Education Division, which would have been funded with federal revenue but for certain shortfalls, for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2025, and ending June 30, 2026................. $  138,000,000.00

It is the intent of the Legislature that the above amount of State General Funds be transferred from the Working Cash-Stabilization Reserve Fund created in Section 27-103-203.
