AMENDMENT NO 1 PROPOSED TO

House Bill No.    3

AMEND after line 18 by inserting the following language as a new section and renumbering the subsequent section(s) accordingly:

SECTION 3.  Of the funds appropriated in Section 2 of this act, Eight Million Seventeen Thousand Six Hundred Thirty-three Dollars ($8,017,633.00), or so much thereof, shall be derived out of any money in the State Treasury to the credit of the Capital Expense Fund, as created in Section 27-103-303, Mississippi Code of 1972, and allocated in a manner as determined by the Treasurer's Office to the Department of Environmental Quality for the purpose of defraying expenses of water and/or sewer infrastructure and/or improvements associated with procurement-related issues in the Mississippi Municipality & County Water Infrastructure Grant Program for the following counties and towns for the following amounts:

     Hinds County             $ 7,074,214.00.

     Town of Edwards          $   407,386.00.

     Town of Shannon          $   233,333.00.

     Town of Farmington       $   302,700.00.

FURTHER, AMEND on line 18 by deleting "252,717,954.00" and inserting "260,735,587.00" in lieu thereof.
