AMENDMENT NO 1 PROPOSED TO

House Bill No. 1245

Amend after line 20 by inserting the following new sections:

SECTION 2.  (1)  A segment of Old Mississippi Highway 25 North located in Itawamba County, Mississippi, the specification of its points of commencement and terminus to be determined by the Itawamba County Board Supervisors, and extending for a distance of one (1) mile, shall be known as the "Chief Warrant Officer Derek Abbott Memorial Highway."

     (2)  The Mississippi Department of Transportation shall erect and maintain appropriate signs along and approaching the segment of highway described in subsection (1) of this section.

SECTION 3.  (1)  A segment of Fairview Banner Road located in Itawamba County, Mississippi, the specification of its points of commencement and terminus to be determined by the Itawamba County Board Supervisors, and extending for a distance of one (1) mile, shall be known as the "Larry Cromeans Memorial Highway."

     (2)  The Mississippi Department of Transportation shall erect and maintain appropriate signs along and approaching the segment of highway described in subsection (1) of this section.

Further amend on line 21, by renumbering the succeeding section accordingly to reflect: "SECTION 4".

Further amend the title to conform on line 8 by inserting the following after the semicolon:

"TO DESIGNATE A SEGMENT OF OLD MISSISSIPPI HIGHWAY 25 NORTH IN ITAWAMBA COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, AS THE "CHIEF WARRANT OFFICER DEREK ABBOTT MEMORIAL HIGHWAY"; TO DESIGNATE A SEGMENT OF FAIRVIEW BANNER ROAD IN ITAWAMBA COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, AS THE "LARRY CROMEANS MEMORIAL HIGHWAY";".
