AMENDMENT NO 1 TO AMENDMENT NO 1 PROPOSED TO

Senate Bill No. 2634

Amend by striking SECTION 1 in its entirety on lines 8 through 16, and inserting in lieu thereof, the following:

     "SECTION 1.  (1)  The segment of U.S. Highway 278 (Noah Curtis Street) located in Shannon, Lee County, Mississippi, extending for a distance of approximately one (1) mile in the westerly direction from the eastern entrance of Shannon Primary School to a point immediately west of the on-ramp interchange with U.S. Highway 45, is designated and shall be known as the "Johnny R. Patterson Memorial Highway."

     (2)  The Mississippi Department of Transportation shall erect and maintain appropriate signs along and approaching the segment of highway described in subsection (1) of this section."

Further, amend the title to conform on lines 1 and 2 by striking "MISSISSIPPI HIGHWAY 145/U.S. HIGHWAY 45", and inserting in lieu thereof:

"U.S. HIGHWAY 278 (NOAH CURTIS STREET)".
