AN ACT TO AMEND CHAPTER 951, LOCAL AND PRIVATE LAWS OF 2023, TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF RANKIN COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, AND THE GOVERNING AUTHORITIES OF THE CITY OF PEARL, MISSISSIPPI, TO CONTRIBUTE AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $1,500,000.00 IN THE AGGREGATE ANNUALLY TO TRUSTMARK PARK; TO AMEND CHAPTER 952, LOCAL AND PRIVATE LAWS OF 2023, WHICH AUTHORIZES THE CITY OF PEARL TO CONTRIBUTE AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $750,000.00 TO TRUSTMARK PARK, TO CHANGE THE DATE OF THE CHAPTER'S REPEAL TO THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF THIS ACT; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  Chapter 951, Local and Private Laws of 2023, is amended as follows:

     Section 1.  (1)  The Board of Supervisors of Rankin County, Mississippi, and the governing authorities of the City of Pearl, Mississippi, * * * is are authorized and empowered, in * * * its their discretion, to contribute an amount not to exceed * * * Seven Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($750,000.00) One Million Five Hundred Thousand Dollars ($1,500,000.00) in the aggregate annually from available county and municipal funds to the athletic facility known as Trustmark Park, a Minor League Baseball stadium which is located within the city and county and which provides economic development and tourism benefits to the city and county.

     (2)  This section shall be repealed from and after December 31, 2035.

     SECTION 2.  Chapter 952, Local and Private Laws of 2023, is amended as follows:

     (1)  The governing authorities of the City of Pearl, Mississippi, are authorized and empowered, in their discretion, to contribute an amount not to exceed Seven Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($750,000.00) from available municipal funds to the athletic facility known as Trustmark Park, a Minor League Baseball stadium which is located within the city and which provides economic development and tourism benefits to the city.

     (2)  This section shall be repealed from and after * * * December 31, 2025 the effective date of Senate Bill No. 3060, 2024 Regular Session.

     SECTION 3.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
