Senate Bill 2636

AN ACT TO PLACE A MEMORIAL MARKER AT OR NEAR THE CLAY STREET EXIT IN VICKSBURG, MISSISSIPPI, IN MEMORY OF THE LATE FIREFIGHTER AND PARAMEDIC JAROD SQUIRE AND EMT DERICO DAVIS; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. (1) At or near the Clay Street exit ramp off of Interstate 20 in Vicksburg, Mississippi, the Mississippi Department of Transportation shall place a memorial marker in memory of the late firefighter and paramedic Jarod Squire and EMT Derico Davis, who both served the City of Vicksburg with diligence, distinction and respect.

(2) The Mississippi Department of Transportation shall erect and maintain the appropriate sign along the exit ramp described in subsection (1) of this section.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
