AN ACT TO AMEND CHAPTER 932, LOCAL AND PRIVATE LAWS OF 2023, TO INCREASE FROM $5,000.00 TO $10,000.00 THE ANNUAL CONTRIBUTION THAT THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF NESHOBA COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, IS AUTHORIZED TO CONTRIBUTE TO PHILADELPHIA TRANSIT; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. Chapter 932, Local and Private Laws of 2023, is amended as follows:
Section 1. (1) The
Board of Supervisors of Neshoba County, Mississippi, in its discretion, is authorized
to contribute an amount not to exceed * * * Ten Thousand
Dollars ($10,000.00) annually, out of any available funds of the county, to
Philadelphia Transit, which is a nonprofit organization that provides transportation
for the general public, elderly and disabled citizens within the county. The
funds shall be used to support the operational cost of the Philadelphia Transit.
(2) This section shall be repealed from and after July 1, 2027.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
