House Resolution 68

A RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING AND COMMENDING HEAD COACH CRAIG DAILEY UPON EARNING SIXTEEN BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIP TITLES.

     WHEREAS, throughout his illustrious basketball coaching career, Head Coach Craig Dailey has earned 16 basketball championship titles, a truly exceptional achievement; and

     WHEREAS, Coach Dailey has coached at numerous schools throughout the state, including, New Albany High School, Marshall Academy, Hickory Flat High School, Tishomingo County High School, and Delta Academy, and in 2017, he was inducted into the Mississippi Association of Independent Schools Hall of Fame; and

     WHEREAS, currently, Coach Dailey is head coach of the girls and boys basketball teams at Delta Academy, and throughout his tenure with the Raiders, he has superbly coached and tremendously inspired each player, and has broadened both teams' knowledge of the game and refined the players' skills in execution; and

     WHEREAS, Coach Dailey continues to build upon the legacy of superior play and true sportsmanship, as evidenced in his ability to produce high caliber players and plays, and by the Raiders' successful seasons; and

     WHEREAS, the members of each team that Coach Dailey impacted will surely carry the unforgettable memories they made along their way to championship status throughout their lives as they are constantly flooded with the feeling of greatness that accompanies being a champion; and

     WHEREAS, it is the policy of the House of Representatives to recognize and commend extraordinary Mississippians, especially those such as Head Coach Craig Dailey, whose dedication to excellence brings honor to the State of Mississippi:

     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, That we do hereby commend Head Coach Craig Dailey for earning 16 basketball championship titles, and extend best wishes for continued success in all his future endeavors.

     BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be furnished to Head Coach Craig Dailey, and to the members of the Capitol Press Corps.
