AN ACT TO AMEND SECTIONS 65-3-71.359, 65-3-71.360 AND 65-3-71.361, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO CLARIFY THE TITLES OF CERTAIN MEMBERS OF THE UNITED STATES ARMED FORCES FOR WHOM CERTAIN SEGMENTS OF ROADWAY IN THE STATE WERE DESIGNATED AS MEMORIAL HIGHWAYS; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  Section 65-3-71.359, Mississippi Code of 1972, is amended as follows:

     65-3-71.359.  (1)  The segment of Mississippi Highway 365 located in Prentiss County, Mississippi, beginning at its intersection with Mississippi Highway 364 and extending northernly to the Tishomingo County line is designated and shall be known as the "PFC Howard Tillman Bobo Memorial Highway."

     (2)  The Mississippi Department of Transportation shall erect and maintain appropriate signs along and approaching the segment of highway described in subsection (1) of this section.

     SECTION 2.  Section 65-3-71.360, Mississippi Code of 1972, is amended as follows:

     65-3-71.360.  (1)  The segment of Mississippi Highway 364 located in Prentiss County, Mississippi, beginning at its intersection with Mississippi Highway 365 and extending easterly to the Tishomingo County line is designated and shall be known as the "B1C James Millard Jourdan Memorial Highway."

     (2)  The Mississippi Department of Transportation shall erect and maintain appropriate signs along and approaching the segment of highway described in subsection (1) of this section.

     SECTION 3.  Section 65-3-71.361, Mississippi Code of 1972, is amended as follows:

     65-3-71.361.  (1)  The segment of Mississippi Highway 365 located in Prentiss County, Mississippi, beginning at its intersection with Mississippi Highway 364 and extending southernly to the intersection of County Road 2360 is designated and shall be known as the "PFC Leland L. Holland Memorial Highway."

     (2)  The Mississippi Department of Transportation shall erect and maintain appropriate signs along and approaching the segment of highway described in subsection (1) of this section.

     SECTION 4.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2024, and shall stand repealed on June 30, 2024.
