AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF LOWNDES COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO CONTRIBUTE FUNDS TO CERTAIN NONPROFIT CORPORATIONS; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. (1) The Board of Supervisors of Lowndes County, Mississippi, in its discretion, may contribute from the county's allocation of Local Fiscal Recovery Funds an amount not to exceed Four Hundred Thousand Dollars ($400,000.00) to the Frank P. Phillips Memorial YMCA.
(2) The Board of Supervisors of Lowndes County, Mississippi, in its discretion, may contribute from the county's allocation of Local Fiscal Recovery Funds an amount not to exceed One Hundred and Seventy-Five Thousand Dollars ($175,000.00) to the Boys and Girls Club of the Golden Triangle.
(3) The Board of Supervisors of Lowndes County, Mississippi, in its discretion, may contribute from the county's allocation of Local Fiscal Recovery Funds an amount not to exceed Two Hundred Thousand Dollars ($200,000.00) to the Golden Triangle Regional Homeless Coalition.
(4) The Board of Supervisors of Lowndes County, Mississippi, in its discretion, may contribute from the county's allocation of Local Fiscal Recovery Funds an amount not to exceed One Hundred and Fifty Thousand Dollars ($150,000.00) to the United Way of Lowndes and Noxubee Counties.
(5) The Board of Supervisors of Lowndes County, Mississippi, in its discretion, may contribute from the county's allocation of Local Fiscal Recovery Funds, an amount not to exceed One Hundred and Seventy Five Thousand Dollars ($175,000.00) to Last House on the Block.
(6) The Board of Supervisors of Lowndes County, Mississippi, in its discretion, may contribute from the county's allocation of Local Fiscal Recovery Funds an amount not to exceed One Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($150,000.00) to Habitat for Humanity Housing.
(7) The Board of Supervisors of Lowndes County, Mississippi, in its discretion, may contribute from the county's allocation of Local Fiscal Recovery Funds an amount not to exceed Three Hundred Thousand Dollars ($300,000.00) to Community Counseling Services.
(8) The Board of Supervisors of Lowndes County, Mississippi, in its discretion, may contribute from the county's allocation of Local Fiscal Recovery Funds an amount not to exceed One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100,000.00) to Contact Helpline.
(9) The Board of Supervisors of Lowndes County, Mississippi, in its discretion, may contribute from the county's allocation of Local Fiscal Recovery Funds an amount not to exceed One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100,000.00) to Helping Hands Ministry.
(10) This section shall be repealed from and after July 1, 2027.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
