AN ACT TO RESTORE THE RIGHT OF SUFFRAGE TO RAHMOND WILLIAMS OF HINDS COUNTY.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  The right of suffrage is hereby fully and completely restored to Rahmond Williams of Hinds County, Mississippi, who was disqualified as an elector as a result of his conviction on February 2, 2009, in Madison County on the charge of burglary-vehicle, for which he was sentenced to serve one (1) year, and five (5) years supervised probation within the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections.  He was released to earned release supervision on October 13, 2009, and discharged on November 12, 2009.

     On November 18, 2013, he was convicted in Hinds County on the charge of vehicle theft for which he was sentenced to serve three (3) years on supervised probation; and on the charge of burglary-business for which he was sentenced to serve three (3) years of supervised probation to run concurrent with the previous convictions within the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections.

     On February 3, 2014, in Madison County, he was convicted of burglary-vehicle, and sentenced to serve six (6) years with charges running consecutive to Hinds County sentence previously imposed within the Mississippi Department of Corrections.  He was released to parole on July 20, 2015, and discharged on August 8, 2017.

     The Legislature is informed that he has since conducted himself as a law-abiding citizen in a good and lawful manner.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
