AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 49-7-7, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO INCLUDE TRAINING FACILITIES IN THE CATEGORIES ELIGIBLE FOR LICENSE FEE INCREASE PROCEEDS; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. Section 49-7-7, Mississippi Code of 1972, is amended as follows:
49-7-7. The revenue collected from any increase in license fees pursuant to Chapter 418, Laws 2016, shall be designated for use by the Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks for recruitment, training, training facilities, equipping, and compensation of conservation officers to fill existing vacancies.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2023.
