A RESOLUTION COMMENDING AND CONGRATULATING THE PUCKETT HIGH SCHOOL LADY WOLVES BASKETBALL TEAM UPON WINNING THE 2021-2022 MISSISSIPPI HIGH SCHOOL ACTIVITIES ASSOCIATION (MHSAA) CLASS 2A DISTRICT 6 CHAMPIONSHIP.
WHEREAS, the Puckett High School Girls Basketball Team, a skillfully dynamic group of athletes, have been crowned champions of the 2021-2022 Mississippi High School Activities Association (MHSAA) Class 2A District 6; and
WHEREAS, the Lady Wolves were superbly coached and inspired by Head Coach Holly Moncrief, who has broadened the players' knowledge of the game and refined their skills in execution; and
WHEREAS, members of the talented Puckett High School Lady Wolves Basketball Team include the following: Ansley Allen, Aubany Holbert, Cobi McAfee, Mallory Mitchener, Amirah Holbert, Aubrey Pardue, Rose Warren, Marlee Dampeer, Taylor Hill, Molleigh Luke, Kaitlyn Downs, Maci Hammock, Destiney Parker, Rylee Rankin, Kati Winningham and Presleigh Stevens; and
WHEREAS, the Lady Wolves have developed a winning and cooperative spirit and a high degree of sportsmanship, and their activities and attitudes reflect great credit upon the individual players, their coaches and administrators, and bring overall honor to Puckett High School; and
WHEREAS, it is the policy of the House of Representatives to recognize and commend excellence, especially when evidenced by the young people of our state, who are its future:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, That we do hereby commend and congratulate the Puckett High School Lady Wolves Basketball Team for their outstanding season, for winning the 2021-2022 Mississippi High School Activities Association (MHSAA) Class 2A District 6 Championship and for displaying tireless devotion to their athletic goals, and wish them continued success in all their future academic and athletic endeavors.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be furnished to Puckett High School, Head Coach Holly Moncrief and to the members of the Capitol Press Corps.
